WDT, or Weiss Distribution Technique, is a ground coffee distribution method devised by John Weiss in 2005 and designed to help coffee lovers achieve the optimal extraction. This is done with the help of a special needle distributor (also known as a WDT tool), which gently stirs the coffee inside the portafilter. It’s suited perfectly for ambitious home baristas, as most of them use non-commercial grinders at home.

HOW TO USE YOUR WDT TOOL? 

Using circular motions, gently stir the coffee in the portafilter, starting from the bottom and moving upwards slowly. For the best possible results, follow this up with a ground coffee distributor and only tamp your coffee afterwards.
